5819.0. "Auto Answer setting file ?" by MSAPG1::ENG () Wed Mar 19 1997 20:50

    Hello all.

    I have installed a MERZ 336 modem and make it work on my Windows NT
    Workstation for RAS access by using the Driver Diskette from the
    manufacturer.

    Everything looks fine except that when I want to set the auto answer an
    incoming call to 9 rings by using ATS0=9&W&Y, the modem still pick up
    the incoming call immediately (default value). The reason is that I am
    using the same telephone line for dial in and telephone.

    I noticed that all the setting are OK, the problem only happened when I
    startup the RAS service in the control panel. From the modem log file I
    found that the system is sending the reset to factory default command
    every time the modem initialize. A small portion of the log file is as
    bellow :

    I wonder which file keep the initializing file setting ? Anyone could
    shed some light on this will be very much appreciated.
