I'm trying to add a secondary SCSI adapter to my system without success. My primary adaptec is ASUS SC200 (PCI NCR 810 based card) and there is BIOS for this card in the motherboard. All my devices are connected to this. Now I want to use Adaptec 1542B (ISA) as a second adapter in my system under NT 4.0. Should I disable the Adaptec BIOS on the card? Are all the settings in the card supported by NT? And how do I tell to the device driver, what is the IRQ, DMA etc used by the card? //pasi

Disable the bios. Set the IRQ and DMA to unused values (identify via WINMSD). NTDETECT will figure out the card settings. Benn | |||||

...and disable the floppy port on the 1542B while you're at it. You probably already have a floppy controller in the system, right? /Bill |
