5803.0. "FTP Service locks up when stopping if drive not available" by CIVPR1::SIMMONS (Mike Simmons (301) 918-5597) Thu Mar 13 1997 15:19
This note concerns running an FTP Service on a Cluster drive. I'm not entering
this into the Clusters notes conference because I believe it's a Microsoft
issue. How would I escalate this? If you start the FTP Publishing service
when one of the directories is not available (disk offline). When you try to
stop the service, the services process locks up: can't stop or start anything,
can't look at services, etc. Logging off sometimes clears this condition.
