5754.0. "Limit on user-ids/passwords" by CHEFS::WILLS_A (Andrew Wills) Thu Feb 27 1997 05:14
Hello,
I have loked through the UNIX 4.0B release notes and NIS guide,
and cannot find a figure for the maximum number of user-id/passwords
that can be held in Digital UNIX. Could anyone who knows of a limit
please answer this note. I'm not after the number of logins allowed,
but the size of the passwd or yppasswd file.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

| Hi,
The question still has some merit in NT. I tried for a customer
populating SAM with 32 * 32 * 32 (or appx 36000) users. No problem.
