Hello, 

I'm looking for a tool that I can query the WINS server with and that
displays the information stored in there. 

'nslookup' does this for BIND/DNS, dnscp does this for DECdns, what's 
the tool for WINS?

    There are some tools on the resource kit (winsdmp, winscl, etc.).
    Also, when you install the WINS service, you get a WINS manager.
