5710.0. "Unattended Install: 2 problems... help please?" by BRSTR2::SYSMAN (Dirk Van de moortel) Tue Feb 18 1997 01:32

Hi...

We have two annoying problems with unattended install of NT-server 4.0:

1) Is there a way to force an installation onto drive D: or E:?
About the TargetPath parameter the MS-DOCUMENT:Q155197 says:
"DO not use drive letters such as c:\winnt or d:\winntws."
I have tried to start the installation from drive D: but the installation
   always goes to C:
I have been checking some .sif files that are created during the first
installation pass, and I can't find the string "c:" anywhere...

2) When we perform an unattended installation of a Backup Domain controller
(NT 4.0), the installation halts and requests that we type the username
(Administrator, no need for password because OemBlankadminPassword = 1)
   for the Primary Domain controller.

Is there a way to force this field to have a value?

Any idea anyone?
