Just installed NT4 on my PC. I dound that it has a backup utility that works fine with my old Tandberg 3820 (QIC 525). Is the tape format compatible with any other tape program or is it an MS-own-brand ? thanks Alan

Windows NT backup was written by Arcada Software ( now owned by Seagate ). The data format is not compatible with any standard format. Microsoft does publish a specification of the tape format. Steve P. | |||||

OK - thanks. I was just curious. Now to get my tape drive fixed (it broke last night !) Alan |
