I have a Personal Workstation 433a which I have loaded NT 4.0 Server with SP1. The system is locking up several times a day which requires a hard reboot. I think it may be related to the AccelGraphics card. I have the latest drivers loaded from the Alpha web page. I have also noticed that the system locks up when you try to run one of the graphics screen savers. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Thanks, Lora

Check in the WRKSYS::XL_PERSONAL_WORKSTATION conference (press KP7 to add this entry to your notebook). There have been lots of problems reported against the AccelGraphics drivers. The general response is to update to the latest driver (4.1.10 ?), and/or to set your colors to fewer than 32768 (i.e., not "true color"). Or, don't run those particular screen savers. -- Kenny House |
