Hi, Is Citrix' WinFrame application cluster-aware ? One of our clients is interested in clustering their application servers and running WinFrame in their clients to improve response time. Thanks, Veronica Abad Technical Support

Citrix uses a modified NT kernel. I think it was in the NT Clusters notes conference where it was stated that there is no work being done get WinFrame to work with clusters. The product does not work in a clustered environment. I have a customer that tried, and things did not work as expected. You might want to check into NTerprise from Exodus (www.exodustech.com). I don't know if anyone has yet tried this on clusters, but it layers on top of NT. Customer would have to make the determination as to whether or not the application will perform better. We can't make any claims along those lines. tgc |
