According to trade rags, power managment is coming in NT 5.0. Anything else is special software done by vendors, such as Digital for the HiNote laptops. It's usually not readily available. I suggest you wait for the NT 5.0 beta, if it fact the trade rags are true. mike | |||||

Re .0, i believe the only power management software available for Windows NT 4.0 has been on Digital HiNote Ultra line of laptops. That capability has been developed by DECwest Engineering and the only one endorsed by Microsoft for NT 4.0. I have it on my Ultra II NT Server 4.0 and i like it alot. It's unintrusive and you'd feel the pain without it after having it on the system. There are new work in NT 5.0 addressing this area. --svb |
