Hi,
I am in the midst of putting up a 4100 with Windows NT 3.51. The
AlphaBIOS is 5.28.
I have read this note and am wondering how partitioning will play
out now.
Is it still the party line to go with a 6MB FAT partition and the
rest NTFS? If so, how do you do the partitioning now? I am working
with an RZ28 and two RZ29s.
Appreciating any inputs to make this least painful.

Yes, you still need the small FAT partition to store the system files. Under the AlphaBIOS Setup screen, select Hard Disk Setup. In Hard Disk Setup, there is an option called Express Setup which will create 2 partitions on the selected drive, one 6 MB partition and the other is (disk size - 6) MB. Run Express Setup on one of the disk and then start the installation. Scott | |||||
