| I know that the SCSI version of a ZIP drive will work on Alpha NT, but...
has anyone ever found/written an Alpha NT version of the PPA3 parallel port
driver?

| Re .17, unless it is done by someone else, Iomega currently has no plan
to support the parallel Zip/Jaz drives on Alpha Windows NT.

4404.19 | Would A/B switch affect this? | DONVAN::HARRIS | | Mon Mar 31 1997 07:49 | 20 |
| .9 (MCARLETON) and .15 (BENZ) made reference to a system hang when the
zip drive wasn't connected. I'd like more clarification on this...
I've got the ZIP drive, and mostly used it from Windows 95, with the
included drivers. I'd been watching the web site, and finally found
the drivers for NT.
After I installed the driver and tools, I was UNABLE to reboot my NT
system. It hung on the reboot, and the only way I was able to get past
this was to recover my previous version of NT.
The ZIP drive WAS connected. But... since both a Windows 95 and NT
system were sharing the printer, I had an A/B switch on it (which has
since been replaced by having Windows 95 use a network printer, but
that's another story).
Is it possible that the A/B switch on my printer was causing the system
to hang? I just assumed that I'd pulled down the wrong drivers.
