Hello, I have tried to turn my PC to a dual boot machine running Windows 95 & Windows NT V 3.51 with no luck. I have one physical disk partitioned to two FAT logical drives C & D. I started with installing Windows NT on C. Next I installed Windows 95 on Drive D. However, after powering up the machine I was not given a menu to choose operating systems and by default Win 95 was booted. Figuring the problem could be that I installed NT first & then 95, I formatted C & reinstalled NT thinking this would make it just work. After power up although I got the boot menu but there was no mention of Win 95. I even tried to manually edit boot.ini and add the following line D:\="Windows 95". However, choosing this option from the menu it gives a trap fault. I suspect that since the CDs that I am installing from are not upgrade CDs they are not designed to coexist & detect others operating systems. Any ideas? Thanks, Bardia. | |||||

re: .7 by ZPOVC::TALEGHANI Do it the proper way. Install Windows 95 first (cleanly), then install Windows NT. /Bill |
