For playing back MPEG-1 you don't need an add-on card. Using ActiveMovie's software MPEG-1 codec ist fast enough on all "better" Alphas. On the 500 Mhz ones you can even do Mpeg-2 playback, using the decoders from the Light&Sound Pack QB-4LTAA-SA DIGITAL Light & Sound Pack for Windows NT internally available at http://www-aps.zko.dec.com/pub/lsp_kits/index.html |
