Try either HIKING or CLIMBING conferences, and I'm sure you'll get some
further pointers.
Another hint: Try contacting Bob Early, who moderates the conference,
directly. I think he knows of Outward names or numbers, and you can
avoid having to go through the conference. (Matter of fact, I think
he listens in here, too.)

I forgot to mention, also... If you have an Eastern Mountain Sports or
R.E.I. store nearby, you should stop in there. I'm sure that they'll
have information, brochures, etc. on hand.

Or, just pop into any public library in a city with over
30,000 people and check _Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature_.
Outward Bound has been written up a a lot in the popular press
and if you go thru the Guide for 1989 and 1990, you should find
at least 50 entries. (Then the librian can get the magazines from
the mag stacks ... or a big library might have the 1990 issues
publicly available in the mag section.
Also, if the library is big enough, The New York Times publishes
an index ... uh ... annually? Their articels tend to be very well
researched ... especially if you can find one in the Sunday Times
Magazine.
