please fill out your matching gifts form using the following

I know Greg Diercks is walking, and also there's a pledge sheet up in
Chris (WECARE::) Baker's office in ZKO3. She's collecting money for
Stephan Donovan (former DECie and Executive Director of the Walk.)

If there are other walkers, please let us know?

    thanks,
    Marge

1066.1Matching funds?SAGE::GODINNaturally I'm unbiased!Fri Aug 24 1990 14:095
Marge, is this like the Boston walk where Digital matches ALL employee
contributions, even those less than $15?

    Thanks.

1066.2precisely the same rules apply as for BostonCSSE32::M_DAVISMarge Davis HallyburtonFri Aug 24 1990 14:1517
Karen, in order for amounts of less than $15 to be matched, they have
to be grouped together. The mechanism for doing this is the same as
that used for the Boston "From All Walks of Life". You, as a walker,
prepare a "backsheet" which attaches to your matching gifts form. On
the backsheet, list each DIGITAL donor, his or her badge number, and
donation. Then, total the donations. This total amount carries over
to the matching gifts form itself.

Another, easy, method which is used is to use two pledge sheets, one
for DECies only, the other for non-DEC pledges or for DECies who have
not expressed an interest in having their gifts matched by the
corporation. Instead of putting a phone number down for DECies, put
down their badge number and simply run a copy of the sheet and attach
it to the matching gifts form.

    thanks,
    Marge
