My customer wants to upgrade VMS from 5.5-2 to 6.2 on an FT610. It
appears that FTSSU03020.A is the latest software. Is that correct ?
The customer has FTSS 2.0A and 2.0B on distribution. Is 2.0B the
FTSSU03020.A? If it is not I need to get the FTSSU03020.A saveset to
my customer. My dtn is 592-4512.

The FTSS kit to support installation on FT310/410/610/612
models for OpenVMS V6.2 was never released, as I recall. I
believe it's FTSSU04020.A as the save set name. I'm not sure
how versions 2.0A and 2.0B relate to save set names. My memory
is fading, but I thought the released versions were 2.0 and 2.0-1.
The field test kit for V2.0-3 included a patched FTSS image, which
should be readily identifiable with ANAL/IMAGE.
You should also be able to copy the latest version of VERIFY_
VERSION.COM from RIGEL::FTSS$KITS:, providing you supply RIGEL's
new DECnet address in France.

Here's the listing of the FTSS kits I found on RIGEL. I
believe FTSSU04020.A is the kit for VMS V6.2. However, I had
left RSE by the time this kit was built and posted. Another
problem is that access to RIGEL::FTSS$KITS: is denied. So, you
may need to contact Alain Specty (see topic 592) to get a copy
of the latest kit.

To the best of my knowledge, FTSSU04020.A (V2.0-4) was released;
FTSSU03020.A (V2.0-3) was not. I would recommend using the V2.0-4
kit. For confirmation, contact Roger Allen in RSE at PROXY::ALLEN.

Re .2: (FWIW)
The new nodename for our old 610 friend is RIGELS (47.160).
RIGEL is still registered as 29.816. Apparently it wasn't de-registered.
It doesn't appear to be in use at present, but it could always be re-used.
