My dad has a scanner and would like this info. Can you explain what MED 5 - ALS
and MED 7 - ALS mean? I know he'll ask me.

| Hi Norma,
Without going into alot of radio talk, MED 5 and 7 are frequencies set
aside for MEDical communications. The 5 and 7 are just channel numbers.
Most communications for this area are communicated through those
frequencies in the previous note. Anything that is sensitive, maybe
communicated through a cellular or a regular telephone if available.
ALS is the initials for Advance Life Support. The ALS identifications
are listed below.
ALS1 is out of Emerson Hospital
ALS2 is out of Marlboro Hospital
ALS3 is the backup unit out of Emerson Hospital.
