Since the Worcester County area is no longer a beneficiary of any monies collected by the Boston Walk, a group of people from the North Worcester County AIDS Task Force and CARE have joined together to sponsor a walk in the Fitchburg/ Leominster area. "Stepping Forward" a 4.5 Mile AIDS Benefit Walk for the Fitchburg, Leominster and the 23 surrounding towns will be held on October 17, 1993. The Walk Activities are as follows: The Walk route is from Doyle Field in Leominster to Coolidge Park in Fitchburg. 11:30 am Registration 12:30 pm Aerobic Warm Up 12:45 pm Opening Ceremonies 1:15 pm Walk Begins 3:00 pm CelebrationBegins 3:30 pm Awards Presentation 3:45 pm Closing Ceremonies If you are looking for more information, please call Toney Marcus at 508-343-4530. I suggest you cross-post this in the 12DOT2::MASSACHUSETTS conference. I don't think you will get a lot of people to sign up from the Maynard conference. However, note that northern Worcester county extends almost to the Maynard line. Are all of the 25 towns in northern Worcester County, or are some in Middlesex county? | |||||
