| I should have mentioned this yesterday, but in Baltimore on April 19th,
1861 fell the first casualties, from hostile fire, of the Civil War.
And at 5:30 that evening the Davis Guards of Acton, Massachusetts
arrived in Washington to defend the Capitol, the first company of fully
armed and equipped militia in the entire Union to answer Lincoln's call
for volunteers.
To commemorate the Davis Guards, Co. "E", of the 6th Mass. Volunteer
Militia, there will be an encampment this weekend in Acton including
members of several groups who recreate the Civil War as living history.

| Well gee,
I can't answer for everyone, but I only own property in Maynard, not people
or busineses. Probably the best approach is to ask this person, and then
ask the stores where you'd like this person's work to appear.
Hope this helps get you started.

That's good. What was the question? What attitude?
The way the two previous replies were worded I thought I was reading about
some clandestine activity or something. What's with all the "vagueness"?

363.14 | Looking for Memorial Day Parade info | CLONEM::DONAHUE | "Prioritize and act accordingly" | Mon May 23 1994 14:04 | 18 |
| I'm looking for information regarding this year's Memorial Day Parade in Maynard.
I marched in so many of them years ago, but I'm sure the route has changed since
then.
Could some one tell me where the parade route goes these days? I'm specially
interested in where they enter the cemetaries and what pattern they follow,
once inside. Also, where are the various stops for the dedication
ceramonies along the route?
I have a 3 1/2 year old son and his dad is burried in St Bridgett's cemetary.
I'd like to be at the burial site when the parade comes through. This is like the
first Memorial Day with out his Dad, who died 25-May last year and is a veteran.
I'd like Daniel to learn the importance of Memorial Day and to let him know
that it is a day to recognize special people, like his Dad.
Thanks in advance for any details.
