WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SITTIN' BULL ???? 

I was driving to the town meeting, and it was GONE,  totally gone.    
This seems like it was a very quick demolition and haul-away.   I 
drive around all of the down town streets while going to here and 
there, and didn't notice it until I was on my way to the town meeting. 
How long has it been gone?  

Was there a structural problem, or are there other plans for the site?

	What are you talking about Sittin'bull is still there. Are you confused with the empty lot next to it. They cut down and clean up all the tree inthe lot. art

	The Sittin Bull is gone you say? Gee! I walk right by there, quite often and I didn't notice it was gone. I thought my cousin said that he was there a week ago Saturday (the 11th?) I DID notice that the growth of trees, poison oak, etc has been cleared away between the seafood restaurant (can't recall the name right now) and the apartment building. Never noticed the Sittin Bull gone though. I'll have to check that out.

	Yup, Sittin' Bull is still there. It's the lot next to the Quarterdeck that's been cleared. Liz

	The Quarterdeck!! That's the name of the place I couldn't recall! I'm glad to see that it WAS the brush being cleared away that made that section look so different! It DOES look nice, doesn't it?

	Well, it looks better, but I'm secretly hoping that they do some landscaping back there. The people who live in that grey house behind the lot must feel awfully exposed all of a sudden! Liz

	Ok, I guess it must be the empty lot that wzs cleared. I came to a screeching halt and tried to figure what was gone. I either didn't see the sittin bull, or looked in the wrong place. Oh well, i wonder why they cleared it?

	The empty lot is the site of the long-gone West End House, a large tenement house that burned down in the early 50's. The long front step still can be seen on the back edge of the sidewalk. I have no idea why the land is being cleared. Frank
