| I've had Mr. Mom (and crew) clean for alternate weeks for nearly
eighteen months. I highly recommend this service, which comes
all the way from Waltham to clean in Maynard and Sudbury.
Cost = $15 per people-hour. For cleaning my ten rooms of
Victoriana, it's $45.

For anybody who might be looking for a good housecleaning service,
"THE CAT'S MEOW" "Gets your home as clean as a whisker!"
Has got to be one of the best new services I've come across in awhile.
They're a husband-and-wife outfit out of Hudson, Mass. who do great
work cleaning houses for reasonable rates. I don't have the rates
in front of me, but you can call them direct at # 508-562-6625.
They will travel and no job is too small for them to handle. If
you're thinking about getting your house *fully* cleaned...I highly
recommend this couple to do the job right! I was impressed. Ask
for either Jim or Karen.

| Well, I thought I'd update this note with the results of my
housekeeping search.
I interviewed several housekeeping services and decided on one run by a
Bill Dean, a longtime Maynard resident.
Mr. Dean started a housekeeping business shortly after he left his
longtime job at Raytheon. (I think it was Raytheon.) His new company,
apparently without an official name, does residential and commercial
cleaning in the Maynard area. He pointed out several of my neighbors
who use his service. He also dropped a couple big Digital names on me.
For instance, he goes over and does Win Hindle's house once per week.
Mr. Dean does a very good job. He'll come in as frequently or as
infrequently as you'd like. He comes over to my place once per month.
He does vacuuming, dusting, two bathrooms and the kitchen for $35.
His number is 897-2665.
