| We've brought our cars (over the years: 2 volvos and a honda civic
wagon) to Lou's Mobil (formerly Shep's Mobil) at the intersection of 62
and 117. Note that there's also a Mobil station where 62 and 117 meet in
Maynard as well. They seem to be able to work on anything.
Lou is scrupulously honest, and does good, guaranteed work. The Civic
Wagon (I don't remember the year, but it was the first year of the new
design) had an incredibly densly-packed engine compartment, and they
messed some things up, but they either paid for someone to fix it, or
took care of it themselves for free. I've never had any problem with my
work they've done on my car ('83 Volvo DL).
I was convinced to go there forever when they charged me $2.95 for brake
fluid the first time I ever went there -- I complained of some unknown
brake problem, and they could have taken me for a ride. The problem was
that I'd just bought the car (used), and wasn't used to checking things
regularly yet. Instead of ripping me off, they've gotten a customer for
life, and a *lot* of my friends, too.
