233.0. "A study looking for senior masters mtn bike riders" by COOKIE::LEWIS () Mon Jan 27 1997 16:08
I was at Criterium over the weekend and noticed a flyer on their
bulletin board. A place called "The Institute for Health and Human
Performance, Inc." is getting ready to do a study on mountain bike
riders. They are looking specifically for senior masters (I think
that was the term) riders. They are going to do some tests like
max VO2, resting heart rate, body composition, etc.
They are going to test each participant 3 times, and each participant
will be required to ride in three races they have chosen. In addition,
they will pay $50 for each time they test you.
If you are interested, you might give them a call.
Sharon McDowell, Ph.D. (exercise physiologist)

(I left a message and she DID return my call, but I don't meet their
specifications, yet, maybe they will change their minds.)
You can also probably find the flyer at Criterium, or other bike shops.
