I called the Pikes Peak Trails Coalition, 633-6884, and got an update on the status of the segment that connects the trail from the AFA to Woodmen Rd. The city has been in negotiations with the Tudor Family for a year on the last remaining parcel of land that will permit the trail extension. Money is available to purchase this land AND complete the trail work, with an asphalt surface. A groundbreaking in June is hoped for with trail opening soon after. |
