Hi, Has anyone had problems installing the Digital Unix agent? I have a customer who tried installing it on a DUnix 4.0b machine and he gets an error saying he must be at 3.2d or higher. He looked at the script and it gets the version number then does a cut and strips everything behind the "." so it appears to never work. He tried it on a 3.x machine and it failed there too. Chet - maybe I can add this to my list! Thanks, Gary

I thought for V4.0 you use the standard host mib that is part of the os, not the serverworks version (which is only for V3.2x) > > Thanks, > > Gary | |||||

.1 was correct... It's actually documented, I just didn't see it. On pg. 2-22 of the ServerWORKS Manager Administrator-User's Guide, it says that any Unix version later than 3.2d uses the agent provided by the OS - just make sure it's running. Gary |
