I have a customer with a perplexing serverworks agent problem. This is
on an Alpha 4100 with NT 3.51 sp5. The SNMP service will not start when
our agent is loaded.
This is similar to a problem reported in another note topic here (can't
remember the number) but it was solved with upgrade to a new 2.2
version of the agent. They have the newest NT Agent.
When NT starts a window pops up saying the SNMP service did not start.
They are e-mailing a copy of the event log. Remove the ServerWORKS
agent and SNMP starts and works - add it again and SNMP fails again.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Gary Olsen

Chet -
She (the field engineer) did re-install the service pack after the NT
agent for SW was installed. I still am waiting for the event log -
maybe that will give us some clues. This is for a major customer - Bank
of Boston - so we really need to solve it. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Gary

Is the agent attempting to install the ClientWORKS browser DMISL as
well? If so, during that install, say cancel.
this is an alpha, so I'm clueless.....
