Hi, A customer complains that after installing the latest version of ClientWorks on an NT4.0 system (Hinote Ultra2, 40mb of memory), network performance is severely degraded. This pc is mapped to a PATHWORKS 5.0C ec02 server as a PATHWORKS 32 client. Degraded performance means that when performing a directory of the pathworks drive, the listing is not returned and a message similar to "Invalid network drive" is displayed. Remove clientworks and performance is normal. Service pak 2 for Windows NT cannot be applied as the network stops working through the port replicator. Any ideas? Another system was not tested to verify if the issue was with clientworks or this particular system. thanks! cindy

I would check the DMISL in the system activity screen. I've seen it jump to 30% when loaded, and drop to 2% when disabled. don't know what to do, but it's a start. chet |
