| | The information contained therein, is relates to the entire suite
    of ServerWORKS Manager 2.2. In the directory you will find
    StorageWORKS Command Console information, ManageWORKS information
    Mylex GAM information, and ServerWORKS Manager information.

    Each is labled pretty clearly. Maybe what it needs is a txt list
    up top that describes what's in each PDF file? I'll make the
    suggestion to Engineering.

|  |     Chet,

    I see "ServerWORKS Manager information"! I am looking for "ServerWORKS
    Manager documentation" as in the stuff customers get.

| 221.4 | Not intuitively obvious...;-) | ALFSS2::OLSEN_G | Hey y'all, how y'all doin'? | Wed Mar 05 1997 14:22 | 8 |
|  |     Found it!

    Instead of going to swmgr2.2, go to swmgrv11 - they are all there in MS
    Word format - first zip files and then the docs. Looks like 2 files:
    SWMGRDOC.ZIP and SWM11UGD.ZIP. THere are others there but don't know
    what they are... Chet?

| 221.5 | Down under -vs- up over??? ;^) | PCBUOA::WHITEC | Parrot_Trooper | Thu Mar 06 1997 07:56 | 18 |
| | I guess it depends on which version you want. I believe the doc
    set format changed through the versions. I downloaded the one from
    2.2 (SWMGR.PDF/917781 bytes) and it was the installation/configuration
    using guide.

    As for the docs in the version 1.1 directory, there's a manual, a
    users guide, and the associated zipped versions, and then an upgrade
    set of documents.

    I guess if it's too confusing, then I can remove most of it..... I got
    all the data from the tech-docs folks, and included it. Maybe you
    don't need the .prn file, but there seems to be always the 'one' that
    does. My philosophy is to have too much, rather than too little. If
    I get some time, I sure will maybe try to define it better, maybe a
    a readme file describing what's what and where....but it will have
    to wait till there's time. You know how that goes.

| 221.6 | It's there - just hard to find! | ALFSS2::OLSEN_G | Hey y'all, how y'all doin'? | Thu Mar 06 1997 16:44 | 15 |
|  |     Chet,

    Found it - you are right - it was in the 2.2 directory. I guess the
    confusing thing is there is so much in there that we looked in several
    files and since they were all Storageworks modules, we gave up before we
    got to the swmgr.pdf

    I agree that it's better to put too much info than not enough - it just
    needs to be clear where stuff is. Suggest a "StorageWorks"
    subdirectory separate from ServerWorks - instead of SW, use SERVWK and
    STORWK or something like that.

    p.s. this info is right out of the cd....if I accomodate, the cd
    will look different, for this version. will make the suggestion
    to engineering to separate in the future.
