Hi, I have installed the Mylex Global Array Manager (GAM) and are having trouble "signing on" to gain access to "Administrator mode" I can connect to the server and see all events so "guest access" is working but my password and username always fail when I try to "sign on" either as a user or as Administrator. The server is running Windows NT 3.51 and the management station is running Windows NT 4.0 workstation. The manual say that the first time you log on you should use the username gamroot and set a password. Regardless if I have an account setup or not I can not log on. I have tried creating an account that has the user right to log on as a service, but still no luck. Can anyone help with this problem? Regards Jeff Higgs Server Consultant Melbourne, Australia

You need to create the account GAMROOT on the server and sign on the gam client using that account. | |||||

And if this server is a Windows NT one (specifically a PDC or BDC) you need to get the patches from the Mylex website. The standard distribution kit, does not function on a PDC or BDC. Pjotrr |
