My customer has an installation trouble for DMQ HP-UX V3.2. Their system can 
not recognize DMQ CD-ROM format. We provide another CD-ROM, however the 
situation did not change. I suspect the manufacturing trouble.

Does anyone have the same trouble ?

Customer's environment

	HP-UX V10.20

Procedure and Error

  yjsg026:# cd /tmp/dmq
  yjsg026:# tar -xvf /dev/cdrom
  directory checksum error
  yjsg026:#

Of course, thier CD-ROM Drive can read another CD-ROM Kit.

    the initial batch of CDs for DECmessageQ for HP-UX were bad.  we
    resubmitted the master and they should be sending out  good  CDs
    now.
    
    also the command that you have in your note
    
    # tar -xvf /dev/cdrom
    
    won't work.  you need to mount the cdrom and untar the file that
    is on the cdrom.
