I am having a problem getting the IVP to run on a 8400 with Open VMS V6.2-1H3. I keep getting %LIB-F-INSVIRMEM, insufficient virtual memory error in the DMQ$COM_SERVER_0000_00001.LOG file. I am installing DMQ V3.2B on a 8400 with 8Gb of memory. The VIRTUALPAGECNT is set at max which is 4194304. Pagefile is 7999872. Anyone have any ideas of what to look at. dave

Below is an extract from a mail I got from the CSC: Here's what we have found. PAGEDYN is set too high. As is gblpagfil... As a quick fix; we commented out the SHO LOGICALS DMQ* command from the dmq$detach_procees.com file. From DSNLink we found a known "issue" with the sho logical command having to map all of pagedyn into your working sets. We realize that the fix is to lower pagedyn and gblpagfil, but this gets us up for now. Marty |
