Hi all, Assuming I have a customer in AXP-VMS 2.0-C who want (at least!) to upgrade to latest version (around 20 sites): what is the shortest/best path you would take ? Something as: 2 -> 3.0 -> 3.2 -> 3.2 B ? Assuming now, he want to switch from DECnet (ph.IV) to TCP/IP links, do you think it's better switching after upgrade or before ? Thanks in anticipation for any advise/comment, Pier-Erik

2857.1 | Go directly to V3.2B... | KLOVIA::MICHELSEN | BEA/DEC MessageQ Engineering | Tue Apr 22 1997 14:26 | 9 |
The V3.2B kit still has the migration tools to convert from V2.x to V3.x along with number of bug fixes in this area. As to going from DECnet to TCP, I would wait until after the upgrade because of the corrections to the TCP link drivers in V3.2B especially if they will connecting to non-VMS systems. Marty | |||||
