2847.0. "DMQ dos v2 source" by NWD002::MURRAY_RU () Tue Apr 15 1997 02:58
HI,
I am not sure who to ask this question of, but here goes. I have a
customer who currently has a significant investment in DOS based
controllers in a manufacturing FAB (actually IC fab). They were pushed
to implement DMQ on these machines for performance reasons and because
the host software provider was dropping support for the old interface.
They are in the process of migrating their old application to windows
95 and / or win nt. In the meantime they are running dmq v2.something
(the lastest patched version we could get from the support center).
They have had a couple of problems. They realize that this is very old
software and that it is no longer supported. (true?) They were
wondering if this software had gone to the public domain or if source
was available so they could fix some of the problems they were having.
I understand that this is complex software and not easily changed. and
if the answer is no they will accept that. They would like to know.
Thanks for any input or direction or contacts.
