DMQ 3.2A on VMS 6.1, Decnet Phase V (Decstep 6) We have a particular bus that keeps on putting out Errors as follows: %DMQ_0139_01031-EVENT-LOGGER-E-MALLOC failed to allocate a console buffer, C errno: 12 Any pointers on what we should look at/for? David Otten

2833.1 | Ran out of virtual memory.... | KLOVIA::MICHELSEN | BEA/DEC MessageQ Engineering | Wed Apr 02 1997 09:28 | 10 |
I would expect that the Event Logger has run out of virtual memory. You should be able to tell by comparing the "peak virtual size" with the "page file quota" which will appear at the end of the DMQ$EVENT_bbbb_ggggg.LOG file after it is shutdown. I would not expect this to occur unless alot of the events are being logged in a burst. To adjust the page file quota for that process edit DMQ$USER:DMQ$SET_SERVER_QUOTAS.COM and look for the section for the Event Logger (EVL). Marty |
