Hi, We've got to OpenVMS systems (on VAX and on Alpha) which seem to hang (momentarily at least) trying to start DNA_LD. It eventually times out. Sbsequent attempts to restart the group don't show this problem. What is DNA_LD (DECnet Link Driver?) and any ideas why it is timming out? I should also point out that the system had been up for some time. Version 3.2. Thanks, Ron

I would monitor the DECnet LD on the way up with SHOW PROCESS/CONT (you need to quick). I would look for process states like MWAIT or other resource blocking condition. Also I would compare the accounting info in log files for one that failed and one succeeded and was stopped soon afterward. Marty | |||||

I am having the same problem with DNA_LD going into wait state. The log files don't really say much. Any other clues as to way it is going into wait state??? Any help would be great!! Thanks, Jo'Ann |
