2503.4Something we should seriously look into ?ZPOVC::MADANAGARWALMon Apr 21 1997 06:2421
    I was about to start a new topic on this subject when I found this
    entry. I do not know whether Ovum report talks about Rendezvous message
    bus or not, but the fact remains that we are facing a lot of
    competition from this. Our group is mainly responsible for solution
    Wafer Fab manufacturing environments. These solution are typically
    very large client server environment with 30-40 nodes.

    In many of our project, there is customer pressure to shift to RV
    any in many project already RV is preferred over DMQ. So I will be
    really interested if somebody can provide any comparative study of
    these two products.

    From customer's point of view, RV has one distinct advantage, it does
    not require any configuration like DMQ. (No definition of any group or
    queue). You can add node on fly. It provides a near object like
    capability with a message bus.

    Any input on this will be really appreciated.
