875.0. "facility redirect cleared cause 0 diag 41" by PRSSOS::MAGENC () Fri Mar 21 1997 21:09

    			Hi there !

    	First please excuse me because I'm not familiar with the
    	implementation of X.25 for OSF/1 .

    	My customer's problem is that its system rejects incoming
    	calls specifying redirect facilities :
    	 example :
    	Rx 	C3 07 07 09 19 63 40 07 50
	Tx	CLEAR cause 0 diagnostic 41

    	As far as I understand , a clear 0,41 means "invalid facility
    	code" . But this facility coding seams perfectly correct to me:

    	C3 = redirection notification facility
	07 = parameter lenght in bytes
    	07 = reason = systematic
    	09 = 9 decimal digits for the DTE initially called
    	19 63 40 07 50 = DTE initially called

    	According to the SPD, this facility is "n/a" (I understand
    	that X25 OSF cannot put such facility into a Call packet,
    	but is able to manage incoming calls specifying this facility).

    	So how to solve this problem ?

    	OSF/1 V3.2C , X25 V2.0C , the system is configured with
    	profile = TRANSPAC on the receiving DTE , setting
    	redirect reason = systematic on the X25 access filter does'nt help.
    	The network is the french PSDN TRANSPAC .

    	Thanks in advance and best regards , Michele .

    		Hi !

    	Sorry , I wrote a mistake : the X25 version is 2.0 (Wide Area
        Networking Support for Digital Unix Systems).

    	The SPD ( # 42.47.10) says :
        Call redirection or call deflection notification Yes
    	So the software should support such incoming calls .

	Thanks , and best regards , Michele.
