| Howard Stern on Letterman last week said this film's plot
was stolen from the episode of Bewitched where Dagwoods
mother-in-law put a spell on him such that he could only
tell the truth. From the previews that appears to be the case.
Also FWIW, I believe Siskel & Ebert both gave a thumbs up, saying
Carey is back on the right track after his last flop (Cable Guy).

| RE: Where plot was stolen from
It's not like this is such a deep plot concept that it needs to
"stolen" from anyone.
It sounds like a pure example of "high concept" (i.e., that the story
can be summed up in one sentence for a pitch meeting or advertising).

| It was an old Twilight Zone episode too - 1960 or so.
A car is "cursed", and whoever owns it can speak only the truth.
The used car salesman who buys it has a bit of trouble unloading it
and his other stock.
I won't give the ending away.
