This one's definitely not as good as Clerks, but still OK! If ya liked the first one (means your into sophmoric humor!) you should take the time to see this one! Some goofy little things in this one (that won't give away too much) like the girl who played the nurse on three's company (Terri?) is in this one, and it's a less than respecting role (she ends up topless) for almost no good reason! Shannon Doherety plays a girl who breaks up with her boyfriend, who just doesn't pay attention to her anymore (or ever did). Meanwhile across town another guy gets dumped by his girl and all four members end up at the mall trying to resolve their differences. I have to admit it had some bad acting but funny little parts that made me enjoy it! Also for those of you who liked "Jay and Silent Bob" they end up in this one as the bizarre fellas they were in the first! Also "Dante" ends up in this one...but mainly as a cameo appearence..he plays a game show contestant! Rent it if ya liked "Clerks" (for a slow night) but if ya haven't seen "Clreks" yet...go get it now!

Personally I hated it. Even the Priscilla Barnes nude scene did nothing to lighten up a movie that I thought was less fun than Showgirls. After all, what can you say when the best acting in the movie was done my Marvel Comics writer/editor Stan Lee? | |||||

I liked this one, too. I totally disagree with the .1 comment about the acting. I thought the cast did a wonderfully underplayed job. Of course, Clerks is superior. And I agree, if you haven't seen Clerks yet, get it soon, and then watch Mall Rats. It'll be like having a nice a bread pudding after a wonderful turkey dinner. Rick |
