| My children ages 11(girl) & 5 boy saw it a few weeks ago. My daughter
read the book. It is rated PG 13 for a good reason (violent beginning)
but they both very much enjoyed the movie.

| We saw it a few weeks ago. Our son, 10 years old, enjoyed it,
and so did we.
Only complaint is that it was a tad too short.

My five year old didn't like it. (I know because she doesn't want to
buy it when it comes out on video but maybe we'll rent it a few times).
It's very weird. If your child likes to be scared and the "Nightmare
before Christmas", they will probably like this. It does cause
nightmares.

| I saw it a few weeks ago with my 7 1/2 yr old son and my 4 1/2 yr old
son. I was concerned (not knowing the story beforehand) that they'd
have questions about how the parents died, but they didn't.... And they
didn't seem overly fearful of the horrid aunts.
They liked it a lot , though my _younger_ son seemed to enjoy it more.
(They both loved Nightmare before Xmas). He has asked to see it again.
The animation is superb. I usually sleep through kids' movies and
really liked this one.

| Does it stick to the original story? This was one of my fave books
when I was young.

My 3-5 year old nieces didn't like this film.... I think it basically
scared them... The older one in particular kept asking when the film
would be over...
This is the first time out of 5-6 trips to the movies that they reacted
negatively...
