Beyond Rangoon. I saw it in the video store the other day, noted the
"Two Thunmbs up" by S&E and rented it. It was about a young woman's
experience in the present day military dictatorship of Burma. It's
supposedly based on a true story. The underlying message to the
viewing audience was one of informing us what's going on in Burma
behind the scenes.
The acting was good, the scenery was spectacular and the plot, although
a bit contrived and exaggerated, was captavating and interesting.
I really liked it. ***1/2.

| I saw this movie in the video store and the store owner recommended it.
I loved it. A rollercoaster ride almost as intense as SPEED but better
acting and a better story. I can't recommend it high enough.

| I caught this on one of the movie channels and really enjoyed it. Very
interesting story, beautiful scenery and pretty well acted. A good
solid video value.
