This movie set in a US Army R&D centre, where Steve Martin as Sgt. Bilko and
his platoon have their own way of army life.

Didn't quite measure up, but had some good laughs. The scenes where he rigs 
the boxing match is a riot.

        I took my wife to see this last Friday - she wasn't really keen
        as she never liked the TV show.  As it happens, she enjoyed it
        more than I did! It's not a riotous film, but it has some good
        laughs. 
        
        The problem I had was that I kept thinking how much better Phil 
        Silvers would have played the part.

    hehehe my partner also didn't like the t.v show...but loved the
