Last night, my wife and I went out to the movies (we hardly ever get a chance to
do this). Last time we did this, we saw "Powder". We didn't want to make a 
similar mistake this time, so we got there early so we'd be sure to get tickets
for "The Birdcage". It was sold out :-(. So we got tickets for "Dead Man 
Walking". It was so crowded that we couldn't breathe!  So we looked at the 7pm
offerings and ended up finding a movie that had Sharon Stone and Kathy
Bates in it (what an odd couple). It was called "Diaboloque".  

It was very bad. "Powder" is Oscar material compared to this.  There was this 
actress I had never seen before (I think her name was Olivia). She looked like
a long-haired Shelly Duval, except she couldn't even act as well as her.

Sharon Stone was amusing. Kathy Bates showed up much too late (because she 
brightens any picture, even one with a terrible plot like this one).

The Guy who played "Cheech" in "Bullets Over Broadway" was also in this, 
although he was dead half the time, and rightly so.

    Isabelle Adjani is the other actress.  A renowned French actress,

    Should have followed the advise of 1053.1, it was terrible.  I guessed
    who did it not even have way thru the movie.  The quality of the film
    was poor, the acting left nothing to be desired, need I go on!!!  Me
    and my boyfried went to see Executive Decision (sp) and ended up seeing
    this because we were late.  Should have gone home...
    
    

    I find that I generally agree with most Boston Globe reviews so I glance
    at those before I see any mainstream movie. They gave Diaboloque one
    star.
