977.0. "Escape to/Return from Witch Mountain" by BUSY::SLABOUNTY (Got into a war with reality ...) Mon Dec 04 1995 12:30

Kim Richards ["Hello Larry", "Tuff Turf"], Ike Eisenmann, Denver
Pyle [Uncle Jessie from "The Dukes of Hazzard"], Donald Pleasance
["Halloween"], Bette Davis, Jack Soo [from "Barney Miller"].

Kim and Ike play Tia and Tony, brother/sister from another planet
who are in an orphanage and have no idea who they are or where
they came from. But they are not "normal" ... they are telekin-
    	etic and somewhat psychic.

Denver is their Uncle Benet [spelling?], and Donald and Bette
play the "bad people who are trying to use the kids' powers for
evil purposes" in the 1st/2nd movie, respectively.

These movies are 15-20 years old now.

Actually, Denver Pyle was only in one (I forget which - I think
"Escape to..."). Someone else played Uncle Benet (sp?) in the other
movie.

Are you sure? I just saw the 2nd one the other day and I'm
    	almost positive it was him.

Let me check, and with any luck I'll be back in a few min-
    	utes.

RE .2 - Yes, I'm pretty sure two different people played that character in
the two movies - I happened to see both movies within a relatively short
period of time (a few weeks) and I remember thinking/noticing that in one
of them it *wasn't* Denver Pyle. But I can't tell you which one... :-)

P.S. So much for being "back in a few minutes"... :-)

Well, I said "with anu luck". And I had none. 8^)

Nothing on the WWW that I found, and Mason/Porter don't list the
    	character.
