Jim Belushi, Lou Gossett Jr., Rae Dawn Chong.
Jim is a teacher who gets "promoted" to vice principal of a
very tough school in a lower-class neighborhood across town,
where Lou is head of Security and Rae is a teacher.
Apparently no one there seems to be interested in changing the
way things are going, until Jim gets there. He learns of the
major problems as well as the self-proclaimed "leader" of the
school [character's name is Victor].
And you can imagine how the story plays out.
Some harsh language and violence.
I've wanted to see this for a long time now, and I finally
got a chance last night when it was on cable [unfortunately
it started after midnight]. Far-fetched in places, but
overall I liked it.
