    I am assuming she will be Jane as a child,
    who will play Jane as an adult and who will
    play Mr. Rochester.

    Probably will see this since Jane Eyre is one
    of my favorite stories.

I really really hope that Wynona Ryder is not in anyone's mind when
it comes to casting this movie

I vote for Holly Hunter.
964.4WONDER WHO IT WOULD BEPCBUOA::CHENARDWed Nov 08 1995 14:556
    I too love Holly Hunter but Jane is supposed
    to be the ripe old age of 20 as an adult in the
    book - I think Holly would not fit the bill.

964.9capsule reviewTUXEDO::HASBROUCKWed Jun 19 1996 12:489
The latest adaptation of the Charlotte Bronte Gothic romance is
visually pleasant and well acted. But the music score is intrusive.
Every sigh is ornamented with a breath of the string section. It's a
constant reminder of how constrained and choreographed the whole thing is.
Another problem is that Jane was conceived by Bronte to be a woman of
spirit and intellect, yet lacking a sense of humor. To stick her in a
film these days, in this age of irony, is to strain belief.
