| I am assuming she will be Jane as a child,
who will play Jane as an adult and who will
play Mr. Rochester.
Probably will see this since Jane Eyre is one
of my favorite stories.

it comes to casting this movie

| I too love Holly Hunter but Jane is supposed
to be the ripe old age of 20 as an adult in the
book - I think Holly would not fit the bill.

| The latest adaptation of the Charlotte Bronte Gothic romance is
visually pleasant and well acted. But the music score is intrusive.
Every sigh is ornamented with a breath of the string section. It's a
constant reminder of how constrained and choreographed the whole thing is.
Another problem is that Jane was conceived by Bronte to be a woman of
spirit and intellect, yet lacking a sense of humor. To stick her in a
film these days, in this age of irony, is to strain belief.
