958.0. "Creepshow I/II" by BUSY::SLABOUNTY (Great baby! Delicious!!) Mon Oct 23 1995 15:29
Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, E.G. Marshall, George Kennedy,
Stephen King, Ed Harris, Tom Savini, Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson.
Stephen King and George Romero got together and made a couple of
movies. Actually, more like 10 mini-movies packaged into 2 full-
length features. The mini-movies:
The Crate, Ol' Wooden-head, Father's Day, Something to Tide You
Over, They're Creeping Up on You, The Raft, The Hitchhiker, The
Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrell, and 1 or 2 more that I seem to
be missing.
Tom Savini did the make-up work, but except for some bloody scenes,
doesn't get all that graphic [compared to, say, "Friday the 13th",
where severed body parts were everywhere].
I saw parts I and II back-to-back last week, on channel 56, I
think, and they omitted "They're Creeping Up on You".
