920.0. "Candyman II: Farewell to the Flesh" by UHUH::MARISON (Scott Marison) Mon Aug 28 1995 14:32
This is a sequel based upon "Candyman", which came out several years ago
and starred Virgina Madson(sp?).
The first film, "Candyman", was basic on a Clive Barker short story and was
done very very well. It captured the mood of Barker's story, which was a nice
surprise since most of the other Barker-based films didn't even come close.
This movie, however, well... I'd compare it to "Highlander II". Well, it's
not that bad. But it's very bad.
I'll spare you the details of this story, but will say STAY AWAY FROM THIS
ONE!!! It's not worth the effort to watch, and if you are a Clive Barker fan
this one will really let you down.
I'd give the first "Candyman" an A-, this one get's an F.

I believe this was the one that got very bad feedback due to
being released so soon after the OJ fiasco ... a black nasty
person terrorizing white good people.

| They actually did complain about this. The lead female role was a
blonde and of course we know of the lead male role. I guess people
will relate anything to anything if they get the chance.
