| I have noticed the infestation of POMs lateley :-).
Creamed corn is just what it sounds like. It's corn off the cob
(maize) that has been sqooshed and whipped a bit then canned.
I don't know about this film, but the book was hilarious.

| FWIW, I saw a preview for this film on a recent video rental.
I had originally thought when news of this film first came out
that it would be a drama or psuedo-documentary. It appears
this film is being targeted as a "comedy"!

| I believe that the nightclub owner tries to convince some of his
dancers to "wrestle"/dance/something or other in cream-corn to
drum up business.
They tell him no, but he works on convincing Demi Moore's character,
thinking that if she goes along with the idea, then the other "girls"
will follow.
I'm not sure if this is Burt Reynolds' character or not...

It came in 4th this past weekend which surely was a surprize to me (and
to Demi I'm sure)!

| In its opening weekend it grossed $12 million, which is less than Demi
was paid. Saturday night's earnings were lower than Friday night's.
The poor earnings are attributed to bad reviews and word of mouth.

Save this for the video rental's where you have a fast-forward button.
Easily one of the worst movies that I've gone to see in a while.
Although, those two reasons mentioned a couple of replies back are
definatly in there. Even they could not overcome an assinine plot,
and weak acting.

| Can anyone tell me what this movie is supposed to be about? I heard
that its about a single mother who needs to find work and can't so she
becomes a stripper. There has got to be more to the story than that.

I think the plot is as mentioned in the past 2 notes plus she has
a deadline to raise alot of cash or loose custody of her child.
I haven't seen the movie but thats what I got from the trailers.

| I just caught this on video. It wasn't as bad as I thought
it would be. As a previous noter mentioned, while billed
as a comedy, I didn't laugh once. However it did pass
as a boderline ok police drama.
Now that I've seen Demi's implant enchanced breasts, I can
now definitely say I don't care for them. She should of
stuck with the originals. The implants certainly didn't
help her career, possibly she got them done to please Bruce.
The fast forward no doubt helped me actually enjoy this
film compared to those who had to see it in a theatre and
couldn't fast forward.
